Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee is the oldest, and seventh Indian Institute of Technology, considered the “Institute of National Importance”. Earlier known as Thomason College of Civil Engineering, the Government of India converted this institute to IIT on September 21, 2001.
Educational Qualifications & Experience for Vacancy at IIT Roorkee
In order to be eligible for this course, the applicants must possess any of the following eligibility criteria –
- The candidate must have completed their M.Phil in Clinical Psychology or Medical and Social Psychology with at least one year of experience.
OR
- The candidate must have completed a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, or Post-Graduation in Psychology and a Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology / Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy, Rehabilitation, and Counselling / Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling / PG Diploma in Mental Health / Rehabilitation Psychology with at least 3 years of experience.
Emoluments Provided
The Emoluments of the selected candidate will be between ₹40,000/- to ₹65,000/- based on their previous experience. HRA will be as per the candidate’s educational qualification and previous year’s experience. It can be extended for another year based on the selected candidates’ performance.

The application should be on plain paper with a well-explained Curriculum Vitae (CV) including the Chronological discipline of the degree or certificate obtained. In addition, experience must include Clinical or research and other. Besides these, the candidate should have self-attested copies of the Degree / Certificate and an Experience Certificate.
At the time of the interview, candidates will carry the original Degree(s)/Certificate(s) and Certificate(s) of Experience for verification. Candidates who belong to SC/ST category will be given preference if they are holding equal qualifications and experience as other category candidates.
