Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) is one of the oldest mental healthcare-based institutions in Tezpur, Assam. The Institution is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) to Provide M. Phil Clinical Psychology Course. Hence, after completing the course the Candidates will receive RCI License to Practice as a Clinical Psychologist in India.
Clinical Psychology Department at LGBRIMH
The Department of Clinical Psychology in Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH) was established in the year 2002 as an independent department. From 2002 to 2010, the thrust part of the department was to present Clinical services to the patients and families who come to see the out-patient and in-patient units. During this time, Dr. Maitreyee Dutta became the Assistant Professor and the department inducted many Clinical Psychologists. In the year 2011, the program of M.Phil in Clinical Psychology (Recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) as well as affiliated with Gauhati University) was introduced here.
