MSc Psychology Admissions 2024
Admissions are open for MSc Clinical and Counselling Psychology at Kannur University. The admissions are for the session 2024-25. Before applying, read the details carefully mentioned below.
Kannur University started on March 2, 1996, with the help of Kerala’s Chief Minister, Mr. A.K Antony. It’s special because it has multiple campuses in different places under its control. The programs (MSc Clinical /Counselling Psychology) are provided under the Department of Behavioral Sciences.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for MSc Clinical and Counselling Psychology, students need to complete their bachelor’s degree in Psychology discipline from any university in India or abroad with at least 50% marks.
Entrance Examination
- Number of Questions: 50
- Type of Questions: Objective-type MCQs
- Duration of the Examination: 2 Hours
- Marks: +4 Marks for correct answer each
- Negative Marking: -1 mark for wrong answer each
Note: There is No Negative marking for unattempted questions.

Application Fee
The application fee is ₹500/- only for all the candidates. For candidates, who belong to the category of SC /ST /PwD, the application fee is ₹200/- only.
For the additional program, the fee is ₹200/- for all the candidates, and ₹100/- is for SC /ST /PwD candidates.
Application Process
To apply online, you have to visit the official website using the link mentioned below. There, you have to complete the new registration. Once you register, you will get a unique number called CAP ID.
- After getting credentials, you have to log in to the portal for completing the registration.
- There, you have to provide personal details and reservation details.
- In the third step, you have to upload the scanned copies of the photograph and signature.
- After this, you have to provide your academic details.
- Once you are done with these all, you will have to choose the course and examination center.
- At the last, you are to make payment of the application fee to complete the application process.

Selection Program
For all the programs including MSc Clinical and Counselling Psychology, the admission of candidates will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination. For MBA program, the admission will be based on the score of CAT, CMAT, KMAT, and the scores of group discussion).
Students, waiting for their final year /semester results can also apply subject to the condition that they should attain the prescribed minimum qualification before the closing date of admission.
