IIT Delhi MSc Cognitive Science Admissions 2024
Admissions are open at IIT Delhi for the admissions to MSc in Cognitive Science program. The applications are for the session 2024-25. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who want to take admissions in MSc Cognitive Science at IIT Delhi, should have completed their BA /BSc /B.Tech. /B.E. or equivalent with not less than 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
The degree should require at least three years of study after finishing high school (10+2) or its equivalent.
Entrance Examination
The admission of candidates in MSc in Cognitive Science program will be based on a national-level examination called COGJET.
What is COGJET?
Just like CUET PG, COGJET is a joint entrance test for admissions to postgraduate /doctoral programs in cognitive science. COGJET 2024 will be conducted by the Center of Behavioral and Cognitive Science (CBCS), University of Allahabad and the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H).
How to Apply for COGJET?
You can apply for COGJET Examination using the link mentioned below. Kindly note that this exam is being conducted by University of Allahabad and International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H). So, you need to fill out a single application form either for IIIT-H or University of Allahabad. There is not need to fill out the separate application.
Eligibility for COGJET
Indian citizens who have completed a 3-year or 4-year undergraduate degree in fields like Cognitive Science, Psychology, Biological/Physical/Analytical Sciences, Engineering, Medical Science, or Management Studies are eligible.
Note: Candidates should have completed or expect to complete their degree by June 2024.
COGJET Examination Scheme
COGJET Exam will be carrying a total of 40 Marks. The duration of this test will be 2 hours.
Besides COGJET, there are more national-level examinations like GATE /UGC NET, which may be considerable for the admissions to MSc in Cognitive Science.
Mode of COGJET Examination
The COGJET exam is completely in ONLINE MODE. Candidates can attend the examination with compatible electronic devices, operating systems, and internet connectivity.

Application Fee for MSc Cognitive Psychology
The application fee is different for various categories for MSc in Cognitive Psychology program.
- For General /OBC /EWS: ₹200/-
- For SC /ST/ PwD: ₹50/-
Application Procedure
You can apply for the program only through the provided online link. Don’t send applications or payments through any other method. Follow these steps:
- Go to the link: https://ecampus.iitd.ac.in/PGADM/login and sign up.
- Once you sign up, you’ll get an email with login details for the IIT Delhi admission portal.
- Log in and go to the admission homepage.
- Click on “APPLY NOW” at the top left corner to start a new application.
- Fill in your basic information in the Personal Details section.
- Choose the program you’re applying for.
- Provide your academic details, like graduation information and any exam scores you’ve achieved.
- Share your work experience details, if applicable.
- Upload the required documents mentioned on the website.
- Finally, submit your form and make the application fee payment.

Exemption, Relaxations, and Clarifications
- Candidates who belong to the category of SC /ST /PH have been provided a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying degree (BA /BSc degree), which means they need to gain 50% marks (CGPA 5.5 to 5.00).
- Qualifying degree performance will be calculated by aggregating performance over the semesters /years of the qualifying degree.
- For MSc Cognitive Science, applications who have cleared their UGC NET /GATE Exam are exempted from taking COGJET.
