Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU – Amritsar), renowned for its academic excellence and rich heritage, has invited online applications for admission to the MA Psychology and Sports Psychology program for the Academic year 2024.

The NAAC awarded the GNDU – Amritsar an “A++” grade accreditation in 2022, with a CGPA of 3.85 out of 4, reflecting its commitment to excellence. The University Grants Commission (UGC) also conferred the prestigious status of “University with Potential for Excellence” to GNDU-Amritsar.

Interested candidates can apply online with the link provided below in this article. GNDU offers two courses at the postgraduate level in psychology.

  1. MA in Psychology offered at GNDU Campus, and
  2. M.A. (Sports Psychology) funded by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports- Govt. of India.

Course 1: MA Psychology (2 years)

Eligibility:

a) Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Psychology.

b) BA/BSc in any subject with at least 50% marks (45% for SC) in aggregate.

c) Bachelor degree with at least 45% marks (40% for SC) in the subject of Psychology.

Exit options:

  1. The university will award a PG Diploma in Psychology (1-year duration) to candidates admitted to the 2-year PG program in Psychology who wish to exit after completing the 1st year (2 semesters) of the program.
  2. A student will be awarded MA in Psychology after completing 2 years (4 Semesters) of 2 years P.G. programme in Psychology.

Admission will be based on the merit of the candidate in the Entrance Test.
