The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) governs healthcare services in Dubai. It regulates and oversees the healthcare sector within the emirate by designing health policies, strategies, and standards for developing, regulating, licensing, and monitoring healthcare services provided by both public and private healthcare facilities.

An individual who wishes to work as a health professional in Dubai requires a registration cum license from DHA. Healthcare Professionals including (Physicians, Dentists, Allied Healthcare, Nurses/Midwives, and Traditional & Complementary & Alternative Medicine) can apply for DHA registration.

The registration is considered a confirmation that the professional fulfils the requirements for the applied position (Category, such as Clinical Psychologist) and allows the professional to become part of the Dubai Medical Registry.

What is DHA Clinical Psychology Exam?

Clinical Psychologist is sub-categorized under the Allied Healthcare category by DHA. Those who wish to practice as a registered Clinical Psychologist and fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria need a registration from Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

A Clinical Psychology exam (Code: CPS5071), is conducted by Prometric on behalf of DHA. Candidates who pass the exam become eligible for registration under DHA. Candidates can further activate it into a license in order for the professional to start clinical practice. DHA registration is valid for one year and a healthcare facility should activate into a license in order to start practicing.

Eligibility:

A candidate with a valid bachelor’s, master’s degree and M.Phil/PsyD. in Clinical Psychology (RCI recognized) can apply for this exam.
