Eligibility Criteria
The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) will admit students to the PhD Psychology program for AY 2024-25 following the UGC public notice. Accordingly, based on the scores obtained in UGC-NET, the candidates will be eligible in three categories.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have a Master’s degree in Psychology with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
Selection Process: TISS PhD Psychology Admission 2024
- Candidates who qualify for fellowship/scholarship in UGC-NET/GATE and similar National level tests shall be eligible for admission to the PhD Programme based on an interview only.
- For candidates who qualify NET exam in Categories 2 and 3, 70% weightage will be given for NET scores and 30% weightage for the interview for admission to the Ph.D. program conducted by the University. The admission will be based on the combined merit of NET marks and the marks obtained in the Interview.
- The candidates should upload a research proposal or concept note (minimum 2000 words) on their proposed research. The questions/discussion in the personal interview will mostly focus on the proposed research topic/research interest.
